Julie joined the CaringMatters board of directors in 2024, bringing with her a range of experience and a deep commitment to community service. With an undergraduate degree from Emory University and an MBA from George Washington University, Julie has navigated a diverse career path. From human resources consulting to program administration at the University of Maryland Smith School of Business, and later, contributing to the finance and human resources team at Capital Camps and Retreat Center until her recent retirement in December 2023.

Julie began her volunteer work with CaringMatters in 2004, facilitating Good Grief Club sessions and providing caregiving support. Her commitment to the community has extended to other nonprofits, such as Generation Hope, Meals on Wheels, and Temple Beth Ami, where she served as a board member. With her blend of administrative expertise and compassionate spirit, Julie is prepared for her role as a board member, furthering the mission of CaringMatters and enriching the lives of those it serves.
