A heartfelt thank you to the students and staff at Cloverly Elementary School, including the Student Government Association and Kindness Ambassadors, for sponsoring a wonderful collection drive in support of CaringMatters. In honor of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr., the school spent two weeks in January engaging in service projects and acts of kindness. The collected items will support campers at Camp Erin, CaringMatters’ annual weekend camp for children, ages 6-17, who are grieving the loss of someone close to them.
Each year, Camp Erin serves 50 children and youth free of charge, offering therapeutic activities to help with the grief process, as well as traditional camp fun. The school’s generous donations included new, unopened disposable rain ponchos, blankets, pillows, sweatshirts, paper products, cups, and tissues.
Camp Erin will be held from Friday, May 2 – Sunday, May 4, 2025, at Bar-T Mountainside in Urbana, Maryland. To learn more about this transformational program, visit www.caringmatters.org/camp-erin.
Thank you for helping make a difference in the lives of these grieving children!
